Florence or Firenzi, a charming smaller city, the river makes everything feels better.
Take a walk through Ponte Vecchio and enjoy the picturesque medieval arched river bridge, the stores are jewelry and watch stores, and also beware of the scams that can happen in this touristic place.
If you’re an Art and History enthusiast, make sure to visit Uffizzi Gallery, the collection was so vast of collection from the primitive renaissance paintings and sculpture, that also tell the story of the city and the region. make sure to buy your tickets online from the official website of the gallery, and embrace yourself to the queuing before you go in..
Then take a walk to the charming Palazzo Veccio in Piazza Della Signoria. If you made it all the way here you should check the Gucci Garden, beautiful museum that is dedicated to the iconic Italian fashion house and maybe even treat yourself to their bar called Gucci Giardino 25 and enjoy the view.
An other beautiful Piazza was the Piazza Della Repubblica, we had luck it was sunny, there was a group playing live music and the mood was nice.
And of course the “Estrella”
of Florence. The Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, the Florence
Duomo, the cathedral that is very different from the Duomo in Milan, this one
is known for its red-tiled dome, and colored marble, takes your breath away and
you get in awe in front of it.
You want to take a photo souvenir? we found an old vintage photobooth or Fotomaton, make sure to carry coins with you, it costs 2 euros for 4 photos, this makes a great memory. This is located on: Via Santa Monaca, 1.
If you know me, you know I
won’t go to a city and miss the vintage shops, there was quite fair thrift and
vintage stores in Florence here are some of the ones I have been to:
I talk about Designer vintage stores in Rome here in the blog Rome Vintage stores
For food, make sure to try the Tuscan meat, I recommend you Osteria Belguardo https://www.osteriabelguardo.it/en/, the service was impeccable, and the food was also so tasty, the atmosphere was a mix of locals and tourists.
For
Pasta, we tried Trattoria del 13 Gobbi , I highly recommend, the
interior was what I would call Typical, but very cozy, although the place was
very busy but this only means one thing! is that the food is worth it. make
sure to make a reservation and enjoy the food
